Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. Fantasy Football Official Rules

Rookie

 OVERVIEW

1. "Salary Cap Fantasy Football" Select your team using a salary cap of $1000 for a 13 player roster (2 Quarterbacks, 3 Running Backs, 3 Receivers, 1 TE, 2 Kickers, and 2 Defenses).
2. Leagues. Entries are placed in leagues of 32. A maximum of 5 teams per person and 10 teams per family may be entered into the same league. Fanatic Sports reserves the right to modify league formation or disqualify teams.
3. League prizes are 1st: $50.00, 2nd: T-Shirt, 3rd: Free Playoff registration.
4. You can select from any player or defense listed on the site. To add an eligible offensive player, just email support@fanaticsports.com
5. All trades are FREE!
6. You must be 18 years old or older to participate.
7. Lowest Score is Dropped - your single lowest weekly score will be dropped. The Season-to-date scores will be computed by adding all weekly scores together and subtracting your lowest weekly score.
8. Player Upgrades -- One player or team will be upgraded for each position. (1 QB,1 RB,1 REC,1 TE,1 K,1 D)  The upgraded value is discretionary, but will be no lower than a $5 upgrade for each position.  Upgrades will take place on weeks 5, 9 and 14
9. All members play via the Internet. 
10. Trades are accepted up until 11:45am CT on Sundays OR 15 minutes prior to game time for any games that take place prior to Sunday.
11. The Thursday, 9/9/2010 game counts. Entries submitted for Week 1 after the trade deadline for the 9/9/2010 game may not contain players from that game.
12. Contest void where prohibited.  You must have residence in the U.S. or Canada, excluding Quebec, to compete in Fanatic Sports fantasy football.

MEMBERSHIP

Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. Fantasy Football is a game of skill. All entries need to be completed by 11:45am CT on September 12, 2010 to be eligible for the upcoming 2010 season.  FSN reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is incomplete of information required to register.  A maximum of 5 entries per person per league are allowed.  Registrants must be 18 years or older to participate.  Contest void where prohibited.  You must have residence in the U.S. or Canada, excluding Quebec, to compete in Fanatic Sports fantasy football.  Registered entries will be placed in leagues of 32 teams.  Custom League formation is available through the "Join League" function.  Upon registering, each participant will be required to read and accept the Fanatic Sports Network Inc. Fantasy Football Official Rules.  The Contest is a game of skill. Winners are determined by the objective criteria listed below. From all entries received, winners are determined by the individuals who use their skill and knowledge of relevant professional football information and fantasy football rules to accumulate the highest point totals during the Contest according to the official Contest rules.

SERVICE FEE INFORMATION

The initial service fee $4.99 for the Rookie game funds your member services, which include registration confirmation, trade confirmations, weekly and season-to-date reports, the processing of member scores, and any notifications that may be sent out during the season.  There will be no services provided via mail.  Refund requests must be made prior to September 1, 2010, in which only the entry fee can be refunded.  No purchase necessary.  An alternative entry void of all services may be obtained by sending a legal business-sized, self-addressed stamped envelope to:

Alternative entries must be completed and returned to Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. in separate envelopes or they will be disqualified. Game type must be specified with each entry.  The deadline for receiving alternative entries will be August 16, 2010.  To trade players for alternative entries, a detailed description of each trade (player ID, Name and/or Team) must be included and sent to the above address.  For each player traded under the alternative type entry, a separate envelope must be submitted to Fanatic Sports Network, Inc., else all trades will be disqualified.  Alternative trade entries must be received no later than Wednesday prior to the upcoming week's games.  Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any alternative trade entry that is received late, provide incomplete information, or exceed the participant's current salary cap. 

MEMBER SERVICES

Upon completing registration you will be authorized to access the member services area of the Fanatic Sports Fantasy Football web site.  For members participating in the Rookie ($4.99) game, all trading is FREE.  

Trading players during the season is completely optional and is not required to play Fanatic Sports Fantasy Football.

HOW TO PLAY

After Membership, select a football team from the list of players presented. All or most eligible NFL players should be listed. If you find any player that you would like to add to the list, email us at support@fanaticsports.com with your request. Each participant's roster must consist of 13 players:

2 Quarterbacks
3 Running Backs
3 Receivers
1 Tight End
2 Place Kickers
2 Defenses

Your initial total team value must not exceed the salary cap of $1000.

You must choose only from players and defenses listed. Players are only eligible at the position listed. Player positions will not change during the length of the contest.

The Contest runs 17 weeks beginning with the first scheduled regular season NFL games and ending with the last scheduled games of the NFL regular season.

The lowest score is Dropped - your single lowest weekly score will be dropped. The Season-to-date scores will be computed by adding all weekly scores together and subtracting your lowest weekly score.

PLAYER TRADING

Trading will be available upon opening of registration on August 2, 2010 and continue until 11:45am CT September 12, 2010, during which unlimited trading may take place, free of charge.  Trading will be available each week from Tuesday 3:00pm CT until the following Sunday at 11:45am CT or 15 minutes prior to game time if the game is played earlier than Sunday for a given week.  You may trade any of your 13 players, based on the costs listed above in the game information table starting September 14, 2010 at 3:00pm CT.  Players must be traded for other players at the same position.  Participants will not be able to submit their trades until their total salary is at or below their current salary cap. 

Due to random volumes of traffic over the Internet, it is recommended that you make your trades prior to the Sunday deadline by at least 1 hour to avoid possible rejection of trades.  Upon submitting your trades, you will receive via email, a confirmation of the trades that were most recently processed.  We suggest you save this information should any disputes arise. 

Should Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. experience any technical difficulties with the trading process, changes to participants' rosters will not be taken until trading is re-opened.  Trades will not be accepted through the mail or email.  Any player not appearing in the list of available players may be added at a discretionary salary of no less than $45.  To add a player not listed, please contact a Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. representative via email at support@fanaticsports.com.  For the player to be added for the following week's games, a request must be made prior to the re-opening of trading on Tuesday at 3:00pm CT.  If Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. decides the player should be added, they will appear in the player list prior to the re-opening of trading. 

SCORING

Players WILL NOT receive points for Kickoff and Punt Return yardage.
Players WILL NOT receive points for Kickoffs and Punt Returns for touchdowns.

To receive points for games that may be postponed, the players must be on your roster the day the game is officially completed.  

PLAYER PERFORMACE UPGRADES

Salaries for top performers at each position relative to their current salary will be upgraded to a new value based on their total season-to-date score.  One player or team will be upgraded for each position. (1 QB, 1 RB, 1 REC, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D)  The upgraded value is at the discretion of the Fanatic Sports Advisory Board, but will be no lower than a $5 upgrade for each position.  Upgrades will take place on weeks 5, 9 and 14 of the NFL season.  For each upgraded player you have on your roster during the upgrade weeks, your salary cap will be increased by that player's upgraded amount.  For example, if during the first upgrade week you have one player on your roster that gets upgraded by $5, your salary cap will increase by $5. 

Fanatic Sports Salary Upgrade Formula = Total Score / Current Salary  

The upgraded players will be disclosed on the web site after 3:00pm CT the Tuesday after that week's games.

PRIZES

Prizes may not be substituted or transferred and must be accepted as given.  Winning participants are responsible for applicable taxes incurred by winning a prize.  By participating in Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. Fantasy Football contest, participants agree to consent to the use of their name and likeness for publicity without further permission or compensation, except where prohibited by law. 

By accepting a prize, the winner releases Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. and all sponsors and suppliers from any and all liability for any loss, damages, harm, cost or expenses, including without limitation property damages or personal injury arising out of participation in Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. Fantasy Football or the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize. 

All prizes will be paid on or before March 1, 2011.  All prizes are subject to review by the Fanatic Sports Advisory Board.  If it is determined that a prize winner is ineligible to receive the prize, due to age, residency or any other legal restriction found by FSN, the winner will forfeit all prizes.  An alternate winner will then become eligible to receive the prize.  Employees of Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. their immediate families, sponsors and suppliers are not eligible to participate in this fantasy football contest and are therefore not eligible to win any of the prizes mentioned herein.

 In the event of a tie for season-end league scores, the tiebreaker will be the highest single weekly score.  If a tie still results, the second highest single weekly score will be used, and so on and so forth until the tie is broken.  

All prizes are guaranteed, regardless of the total number of Members joining the Contest before the deadline.

All disputes will be reviewed and settled by the Fanatic Sports Advisory Board, whose decisions will be final.  Any disputes must be submitted to the Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. Advisory Board ( P.O. Box 45901, Omaha, NE 68145-0901) in writing. 

WORK STOPPAGE / UNFORESEEN EVENTS

In the event of a strike, lockout or other unforeseen event, FSN will suspend play until regular NFL players return.  If play does not resume and less than 8 weeks of the regular season were completed, only transaction fees up until the point of work stoppage will be refunded and no prizes will be awarded. 

LEGAL INFORMATION

By entering Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. Fantasy Football, you (i) acknowledge acceptance of these rules and agree to adhere to and be bound by them, and (ii) release, and waive any rights of recovery against or in connection with Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. and their respective sponsors, contractors, agents, officers, and employees from and against any claims, expenses, damages, and/or liability incurred by you in connection with or related to the operation of, or your participation in Fanatic Sports Network, Inc.  Fantasy Football and (iii) agree to hold Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. harmless from all typographical, statistical, transaction, and communication errors or omissions, and Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. reserves the right to make corrections to the Fantasy Sports Fantasy Football official rules and information to correct such errors or omissions.  Fanatic Sports Network, Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any participant for suspected cheating or non-adherence to these Official Rules.  We reserve the right to make changes due to unforeseen circumstances during the 2010 Fanatic Sports Fantasy Football Season.
